FIELD: instrument making.
SUBSTANCE: ultrasound measuring signals are sent and/or received along several measuring paths (m) located at distance r = r1…rm to lengthwise axis (7) or measuring tube or pipeline (3). Note here that, in calibration phase, various profiles v(r) of measured medium flow (2) are formed in pipeline (3) or measuring tube to set definite volume or weight rate from every flow profile. Proceeding from measurement data v(r1) …v(rm) disclosed in different paths (m), every flow profile v(r) is described with the help of particular set of parametres. Correction factor depending upon flow profile is calculated from determined volume or weight rate. Determined volume or weight rate is corrected using correcting factor depending on flow profile defined in calibration.
EFFECT: higher accuracy of measurement, lower costs.
