MULTICOMPONENT FLUID ULTRASONIC DOPPLER FLOWMETER Russian patent published in 2019 - IPC G01F1/66 G01F1/74

Abstract RU 2689250 C1

FIELD: measurement.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to measurement equipment and can be used in information and measuring systems of oil producing, oil refining, chemical and other industries for measurement of content of components of multiphase medium. Device comprises a flow measuring chamber, arranged inside the pipeline with a liquid flow and passing through a portion of the flow, on opposite walls of which opposite to each other emitter and ultrasound receiver are connected, connected to unit for measurement and calculation of physical parameters. Measuring chamber is made in the form of a probe inserted into a flow inside a pipeline consisting of two tubular sealed rod elements fixed on a common suspension arranged parallel to each other at distance of 3 to 15 mm and jointly forming a streamlined configuration with possibility of flowing part of flow between rod elements, wherein emitter and ultrasound receiver are installed inside first and second rod elements opposite each other at an angle different from zero, and the processing unit comprises a constant frequency signal reference generator connected to the ultrasound radiator, a received signal amplifier connected to the ultrasound receiver, wherein output of amplifier is connected to first input of phase mixer of signals, second input of which is connected to reference generator, output of mixer through low-pass filter is connected to analogue-to-digital converter connected to calculation unit, including Doppler frequency shift, for example, based on microprocessor. Tubular rod elements of the probe are made in cross-section of oval shape and form together a channel for liquid flow in form of a nozzle with parallel walls, and ultrasound radiator and receiver used are piezoelectric elements in form of plates, fixed on inner surface of elements on wedge-shaped substrates. Tubular rod elements of the probe are made so that a flow channel is formed in the cross-section in the form of a converging nozzle oriented with a large cross section towards the flow, and the piezoelectric elements are fixed on the inclined surface of the rod elements.

EFFECT: technical result is the provision of opportunities to more effectively and with smaller errors to determine the consumption of the components of a two-phase medium.
