SUBSTANCE: invention is related to the field of amateur and sport fishing, and is intended for fishing rods of winter fishing under the ice. Handle of fishing rod for vertical trolling comprises solid body, which is arranged with journal of cylindrical section for winding and storage of fishing line, collar of cylindrical section is provided on journal to prevent for spontaneous throw-off of fishing line wound onto journal, collar is arranged as protruding beyond handle width. The novelty is the fact that body comprises hole for rod, at the end of handle body there is groove arranged for winding of fishing line, the second journal of smaller diametre is arranged, as well as collar for provision of various amplitudes of fishing line throw-off from the main and additional journals and alternation of fishing line winding by large and small diametre with further throw-off of fishing line.

EFFECT: expansion of operational characteristics of fishing gear, provision of reliability of fishing gear in operation.
