FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: there is proposed refractory mixture containing refractory magnesia filler, phenol-formaldehyde resin, sodium polyphosphate and not necessarily boric acid and coal-tar asphalt at following ratio of components, wt %: sodium polyphosphate is not more than 2, phenol-formaldehyde resin 4-5, coal-tar asphalt 0-3, boric acid 0-2, refractory magnesia filler of fraction not more than 4.0 mm - the rest. In the capacity of refractory magnesia filler it is used mixture of fused periclase and dust-free scrap of periclase or periclase-carbon products at ratio equal to 2-7:7-2, or mixture of dust-free scrap of periclase products and dust-free scrap of periclase-carbon products at ratio, equal to 4-5:5-4.
EFFECT: refractory mixture provides high resistance of brickwork to melting of metals and slags, allows short time of sintering, can be used at patching of thermal aggregates by method of pouring in or shotcreting, which is ecologically friendly and well transported.
