FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: ilmenite concentrate is preliminary burnt in oxidising medium, it is loaded into tubular rotating restoration furnace heated stub concentrate, carbonaceous deoxidiser, hydrocarbon fuel and air is fed for burning. It is implemented heating of concentrate ash and deoxidiser up to temperature of reduction of iron oxides up to metallic condition and reduction with following cooling of reduced concentrate. In the capacity of hydrocarbon fuel into head part of furnace on layer of concentrate ash layer and deoxidiser it is fed hydrocarbon fuel in amount 1-9% of mass of ash of ilmenite concentrate. It is implemented of ash reduction in gaseous phase at excess air factor in furnace 0.8-0.95.
EFFECT: invention provides increasing of degree of reduction of iron in concentrate, improvement of reduced concentrate ensured by decreasing of product pollution by excess of coke, increasing of process efficiency.
