METHOD TO PRODUCE AND RECOVER 3-D IMAGE Russian patent published in 2010 - IPC G02B27/22

Abstract RU 2379726 C1

FIELD: physics.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to devices intended for producing and reproducing 3-D images. Proposed method comprises using flat screen representing a double matrix, outer matrix being made from controlled cells which alternately transmit light from surveyed object, while inner matrix being made from light-sensitive cells reproducing surveyed object. Note here that every cell of outer matrix represents a microscopic controlled LC- or other structure-based lens or small-diametre orifice, which makes a camera obscura, while outer matrix cells are controlled by opening them in turns for light to pass. Surveying camera represents a section of outer matrix the its central cell open for light and inner matrix frame transmission. Said section consists of rectangular block of pixels that freeze the image. On scanning the image, shooting chamber is shifted sequentially through outer matrix one cell along preset bypass. Note here that all formed cameras follow along rectangular area, an aspect angle, corresponding to inner matrix image frame. Quantity n of shooting cameras is selected according to formula

where di is camera size, w is screen width and h is screen height. At one moment of exposure, n elementary cells are converted into digital form, while at next moment all cameras and aspects of angles are shifted through one outer matrix cell. Note that, in recovery of image, direction of summation of every elementary frame is made reversed in producing the image.

EFFECT: ruling use of Polaroid glasses by spectators, higher resolution of common TV or computer display images.
