FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to converters, particularly to power factor correctors for secondary power sources with transformless input and can be used in power electronics supplies operated in wide range of input voltages to produce high power factor. Power factor corrector comprises circuit rectifier 1, throttle 2, current transducer 3, key 4, key control circuit 5, first transformer 6 with primary 7 and secondary 8, second transformer 9 with primary 10 and secondary 11, voltage limiter 12, output resistive divider 13, 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th rectifier diodes (14, 15, 16, 17, 18), output capacitive filter 19 and output busses (20, 21) for load to be connected thereto, all above listed components being connected by proposed method covered by this invention. Proposed invention allows producing power factor correctors rated at over 5 kW (for example, for inverter welding apparatuses) and operated in a wide range of input voltages, that feature high power factor and efficiency.
EFFECT: higher efficiency and reliability.
