FIELD: physics; radio.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to microwave receiving-transmitting devices designed for operation as part of an active phased antenna array (APAA) of a radar set on-board (RSB) a fighter plane. The given task is solved by reducing the power dissipated by the unit by placing two to six units of receiving-transmitting modules on it, using a pulsed power supply circuit, which allows for making a heat-removing base in form of a flat plate tightly fitted into the housing of the active phased antenna array. Such a design of the unit provides efficient removal of heat energy from the unit of receiving-transmitting modules to the housing of the active phased antenna array with liquid cooling. Use of male-female connectors combined with the proposed design of the unit prevents the need to dismantle and assemble threaded joints, which cuts the time for replacing a faulty unit.
EFFECT: cutting on time for replacing a faulty unit of receiving-transmitting modules during operation of active phased antenna arrays on-board a fighter plane.
