FIELD: agriculture.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to bio-technology and can be used for biological shielding of plants of greenhouses from pests - thrips. The method consists in the following. There is prepared a feeding substrate of 5-7 cm thickness of layer corresponding to unsifted flour bran. Mites Acarus farris are introduced into prepared feeding substrate; and this substrate with mites is mixed. Further mite Amblyseius mckenziei are settled into this feeding substrate at volume ratio 30-75:1 correspondingly. Upon this mites are fed and reproduced simultaneously during at least 11 days at temperature 16-25°C and relative humidity 65-80% at presence of air humidifier, in the capacity of which moistened natural sand is used.
EFFECT: invention facilitates reducing terms of mite breeding and increasing mite yield.
