FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention concerns medicine and is used in cardiosurgery in natural valve replacement surgeries. An artificial valve comprises a ring body, two turnable leaflets that form the primary throat area along the centre of a body opening, and leaflet slewing limiters representing two pairs of ledges located on an end face of the body turned to the descending blood flow. Each ledge of the second pair is opposed to a part of the side face of the appropriate leaflet. The side faces of the first pair of ledges comprise guide surfaces that interacts with the appropriate thrust faces of the side face of the leaflets while closed and opened. Each leaflet has a through groove that interacts with the appropriate ledge of second pair of slewing limiters in service of the artificial valve.
EFFECT: higher reliability of leaflet retention in transfer.
