FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention is intended for elimination of defects appearance on surface of finished product in process of metal tapes (1) manufacturing in device (2), where metal billet, in particular thin slab, is heated in furnace (3, 3a, 3b) till required temperature and/or its temperature is maintained at desired level and is exposed to rolling onto rolling mill (4), which is arranged behind furnace (3, 3a, 3b) in direction (R) of metal billet (1) transportation. In order to eliminate scale deposits in back area of furnace, which result in production of defects on surface of items, according to invention, it is provided that metal billet (1) in process of its location in area (5) of furnace (3, 3a, 3b) is exposed to at least one operation of scale removal onto moving place of furnace. Device for manufacturing of metal tapes comprises according equipment for displacement of device for scale removal inside furnace.
EFFECT: elimination of defects creation on surface of finished product.
