FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metallurgy. Flat billet is cast and reduced in depth at slab guide section by means of several rollers and reduced further in depth at roughing blooming mill and held in furnace of definite length under stationary temperature conditions. After furnace, flat billet is rolled at rolling mill. For temporary termination of material feed to rolling mill, two jobs are made. Flat billet depth is increased downstream o casting plant by decreasing its reduction ay rolling guide section. Casting rate is decreased from nominal rate to decreased magnitude. Flat billet reduction degree is decreased to reduce the depth at roughing blooming mill.
EFFECT: creation of sufficient standby accumulator for rolling breaks in continuous production and at furnace small length.
