FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metal forming and may be used in precise die forging. Heated initial billet is forged to semis to be subjected to finishing forging and finishing jobs. In finishing forging, at least one temporary ledge is made at least one end surface adjoining billet side surface. Then, in finishing jobs said ledge is deformed. Note here that forged piece metal that forms said ledge is displaced in forged piece body.
EFFECT: decreased metal input and labor input.
