SUBSTANCE: invention relates to automotive industry and can be used in high cross-country capacity vehicles. Transmission drive axle can be thrown in/out of engagement with wheel hub with the help of toothed coupling. The latter has outer teeth that can come into mesh with wheel hub inner teeth and is arranged so that its end face rests upon control mechanism piston face. The reflexive spring is installed between cover and gear muff. Note here that said drive axle runs in bearing fitted in cover bore.

EFFECT: simplified design, reduced overall dimensions, longer life and higher reliability.
