FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of construction ceramics and can be used in making ceramic objects for different purposes. The crude composition for making ceramic objects contains plastic clay and kaolin, mineral additives - feldspar, sand, as well as dolomite and/or chalk and/or magnesite, and/or nepheline, and/or wollastonite, and/or talc, and/or pegmatite, with ratio of the above mentioned components in the composition which provides the following weight fraction per dry substance of basic chemical substances in the composition, in %: SiO2 - 60.0-80.0; Al2O3 - 10.0-30.0; Fe2O3 - 0.1-2.0; TiO2 - 0.1-2.0; CaO - 0.01-6.0; MgO - 0.01-6.0; K2O - 0.5-3.0; Na2O - 0.2-5.0. Stone impurities with diametre greater than 4 mm constitute not more than 20-30% of the total mass of the composition. The method of preparing the crude composition for making ceramic objects involves loading each component of the crude composition into a separate receiving container. From the receiving container, each of the said components is moved to a belt extraction apparatus through a feed bin or directly moved to continuous action weights used for batching. Further, the components reach a series of belt conveyors in layers, where during the process of unloading from one conveyor to another, there is premixing. Batched components of the ceramic mixture are received on the belt conveyor and are fed through a delivery tray to a reversible conveyor on which there is levelling of the mixture on the cross section of the tray, as well as uniform division of the stream of the mixture into two parts. Using a lifter each stream of the mixture is directed to mixers with filter grids. In the mixer, the mixture moistened if necessary, moved and unloaded onto the reversible conveyors of the unit for distributing flow of the mixture. After that using belt conveyors, the mixture is fed into granulating presses from the unit for distributing flow of the mixture. In the granulating presses there is final moistening of the mixture to the required level. Final stirring and mastication of the mixture, forcing the mass through a grid with 30 and 50 mm openings and cutting granules with length of 30-60 mm. The mixture is moistened automatically, and using the belt conveyors, moulded granules are moved to the belt conveyor of the unit for sending the ready composition to the customer. Samples of the composition for determining chemical composition are taken at the stage where liquid component of the mixture is fed onto the belt conveyor and/or at the stage where the mixture is moved to the stock pile of the finished product.
EFFECT: increased efficiency and quality of the mixture.
