FIELD: glass.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of granular glass-ceramic materials for the water/gas/petroleum industry, intended for use as wedging agents (proppants) in extraction of water, petroleum and gas for the purpose of increasing the efficiency of production of boreholes applying the hydraulic fracturing technology (HFT). The charge for producing a glass-ceramic proppant by the claimed method includes the following ratio of the initial components, % wt.: gas-forming agent – coke 3 to 5; sawdust from coniferous trees 3 to 5; low-melting plasticiser – drilling cuttings 15 to 25; alkaline crushed glass the rest. The components of the charge are mixed by joint milling, granulated, dried, and granules are foamed in a rotary furnace at a temperature of 1,050 to 1,100°C while melting the surface of the granules for 6 to 12 minutes. The granules are then cooled and fired.
EFFECT: low processing temperatures of the granules, disposal of alkaline crushed glass and drilling cuttings in production of lightweight glass-ceramic proppants.
