FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: during production of aromatic polycarbonate, an aromatic dihydroxy compound and a carboxylic ester are used as starting materials, as well as several reactors. Temperature T1 (°C) of molten reagent in vertical reactor A and temperature T2 (°C) of molten reagent in reactor B next to reactor A satisfy the expression T2<T1. Evaporation surface area per unit amount of molten reagent processed in the reactor with limiting viscosity of 0.1 dl/g or greater is equal to or greater than 1.0 m2·h/ m3.
EFFECT: cutting on time for removing by-product and obtaining high-molecular aromatic polycarbonate with high colour hue.
