SUBSTANCE: machine for friction and wear testing materials has a base with a power-drive station and the base is fitted with a power unit with a testing chamber, a measuring unit, a loading device with an actuator, a measurement and computing system consisting of a computer, a matching device and an actuator control unit. The loading device consists of a hydraulic demultiplicator and two electromechanical ball-bearing screw-nuts, unloaded by a hydraulic accumulator.

EFFECT: increased functionalities due to wider range of loads and increased accuracy of controlling loading and compensating natural wear of the loading system and the sample being tested.
