FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: according to the invention, the method of measuring moisture content of materials involves multiple measurements of amplitude of a microwave signal which has passed through the material, and subsequent determination of the average of the measured value. The analysed material is irradiated with independent sources of microwave energy in "n" directions. Amplitude of the microwave signal which has passed through the material in each direction is measured several times with subsequent determination of the arithmetic average value of amplitude measured in all directions.
EFFECT: wider range of analysed materials.
