FIELD: measuring equipment.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of electric engineering, namely to measurement equipment, and can be used in UHF moisture meters of discrete and continuous action. Technical result is achieved by the fact that in the humidity measurement method multiple measurements of the amplitude of the material passed through the material of the UHF signal with constant stirring of the material under the action of its own weight in the rotating cylindrical cuvette with subsequent calculation of the average value of the measured value, at that results of multiple measurements are used to determine root-mean-square deviation of measurement results. Then, moisture content is determined from calibration curve previously found using calibration standards, taking into account average value and mean-square deviation of output signal, after which moisture content of material is determined. Disclosed also is a device for measuring humidity of materials, comprising a UHF generator connected to a transmitting antenna, and a UHF signal detector connected to the receiving antenna.

EFFECT: high accuracy of measuring moisture content of materials.
