FIELD: antenna technology.
SUBSTANCE: disclosed is a base stations antenna system for use in global satellite navigation systems. Antenna system includes an antenna arranged above a high-impedance capacitive screen (HICS). Due to the fact that the HICS crosswise sizes and the height of the antenna installation above the said screen are within certain limits, simultaneously can be achieved both a high level of suppressing multipath signals and high sensitivity to signals from low-altitude satellites. HICS can be made in the form of a flat conductive plate containing a set of conducting elements, such as pins, pins with increased ends or mushroom knob type structures. In other versions the HICS can be made in the form of a flat conductive plate containing a set of concentric throttling rings.
EFFECT: antenna system can provide millimeter accuracy of determining coordinates, that is by times better than known structures.
