FIELD: radio engineering.
SUBSTANCE: discharger of overvoltage protection is arranged as capsulated and comprises two divergent electrodes, spark gap between them, body, and also device for electric arc displacement arranged in electrode foundation and facilities for magnetic blow of electric arc. Mobility of electric arc directly after its initiation is improved by combination of measures aimed at amplification of own magnetic field of electric arc and by means of stepped circulation of gas in capsulated discharger. Electrodes in the area of electric arc displacement have indents, through which gas flow arrives into internal volume of arc chamber for maintenance of electric arc motion.
EFFECT: improved quenching ability and limitation of follow current, along with ability to withstand lightning current.
