FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: horn-gap arrester with a deion chamber (8) of a non-blowout design has a composite body of a dielectric serving as the holding and receiving element for electrodes (1, 2) shaped as horns and for the deion chamber (8), and as well for a device intended for passing of a gas flow generated by electric arcing. The body is divided along the plane defined by the horn-shaped electrodes thus forming the first and second main parts of the body. The electrodes (1, 2) are shaped asymmetrically. The area (11) of electric arc moving between the electrodes towards the deion chamber (8) is limited by a plated dielectric material (20), and each plate of this material is inserted with the body closure into the first groove in the respective main part of the body. The first grooves contain a magnet insert (21) in the area (11) of electric arc moving. Material (20) insulates each of the inserts from the respective electrodes (1, 2). The main parts of the body have one more groove, which fixes a part of the deion chamber (8) inserted into it with the body closure. Between the first and second grooves in the respective main part of the body there are cuts or openings. A shorter electrode (2) is ended before a part of the deion chamber (8) so that the gas flow comes to this chamber only partially.
EFFECT: developing the compact and easily modified arrester with fast arc entry to the chamber and arc separation for the effective limitation of current.
