FIELD: railway transport.
SUBSTANCE: proposed method consists in applying surfactant and hardener on friction surfaces of rails and wheels. Application is performed by applying simultaneously liquid surfactant and hardener ahead of the running stock head car.
EFFECT: reduced coefficient of friction between wheels and rails after locomotive run and increased said coefficient after run of major part of running stock and in running stock braking.
