FIELD: physics.

SUBSTANCE: vessel degaussing device has an automatic regulator of current in the windings of the device to which magnetic intrusion detectors fitted on the vessel hull are connected. The device has a controlled power supply which is connected to split compensating windings such that the direction of currents in winding sections lying outside and inside the vessel hull in the horizontal, frame and buttock planes coincides. The winding sections lying outside and inside vessel hull are placed without shifting from each other.

EFFECT: increased accuracy of compensating external static magnetic field of vessels with a ferromagnetic hull.
