SUBSTANCE: invention refers to degaussing of ships with ferromagnetic body. Method consists in preliminary increase of intensity of magnetic field in location places of magnetically sensitive elements. Device includes magnetically sensitive elements equipped with magnet cores of oblong shape from soft magnetic material. Magnetic cores are installed on the ship body with the gaps in which magnetically sensitive elements are arranged.
