FIELD: engines and pumps.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates automotive engine production, namely to engines incorporating lever-type mechanism of conversion and can be used in engine designs with pistons that required lateral load balancing. Proposed ICE comprises crankcase (1). Said crankcase accommodates crankshaft (2) and cylinder (3), the latter accommodating piston (4) and its lateral load balancing mechanism. Said mechanism comprises lever (6) and flywheel (7). Crankshaft (2) doubles as the level and comprises at least two rod journals (8, 9). One of said journals (8) is hinged (10) to rod (5). Rod journal (9) accommodates counterweight for it to move in guide bearings (12). Said guide bearings are arranged perpendicular to piston axis (4). Rotational axis of flywheel (14) is displaced relative to main journal of crankshaft (13) by arm (L). Counterweight can represent roller (11) with balancing weight. Guide bearings (12) can represent structural elements rigidly jointed with crankcase (1). Rod (5) can be rigidly coupled with similar counter-coaxial piston (4).
EFFECT: simpler design, reduced dynamic loads on oil in engine crankcase and inertial loads.
