FIELD: measuring technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to the method, device and software product for finding snubs in a wood material, such as scale wood or section of raw wood blocks. A photography tool of the presented device photographs a wood block; an image processing tool calculates the roundness degrees of the photographed images of the wood block to find the images with the essential roundness degrees, as snubs. In addition, the image processing tool 1 cuts a site containing a snub, on the photographed image of the wood block, sets the site which has been cut out in the preset threshold by colour spaces of each pixel of the cut sites, with a blackened site and specifies the black sites with high relation of pixel number of the blackened site to that of the cut site of a snub, as dry snubs.
EFFECT: possibility of exact finding of configuration of snubs, damaged snubs or similar.
