FIELD: image processing means.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to image processing, particularly to a method of detecting moving object, for example of space debris, based on the captured images. Disclosed is a method of detecting moving object, in which the processing step application consists of: dividing the captured images on the p groups, each of which includes m successive images, and use for each group of method application to the m images. Then for each group in this method is allocated space debris candidate based on evaluation for detection of space debris, which is obtained based on pixel values in identical pixel positions, overlapping each other in all m images, combined with each other. After that, in this method based on coincidence or proximity from the point of view of the direction of movement and speed of a decision is made as to select whether allocated candidate space debris in each group as final candidate space debris.
EFFECT: high accuracy of detecting moving objects or candidates on it using the method of application by means of a smaller amount of treatment operations.
