FIELD: measuring technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to information-measuring television and intends for problem solving in measuring object range and linear dimensions by television (TV) images, formed by means of monocular black-and-white, colour and false-colour TV cameras. The method is based on the consistent formation of two TV images by means of one TV camera with a variable lens focal length for various camera points interspaced on a priori known distance Δρ. The direction of TV camera is generally determined by an angle φ formed by a longitudinal line relative to an initial optical axis and a displacement line of TV camera.
EFFECT: higher accuracy of range measurement.
