FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electrical engineering and can be used in hybrid engines combined with common ICE. Proposed electromagnetic motor (10) comprises permanent magnet (30) coupled with piston component (18) of motor (10) defining liner reciprocation. Two electromagnets (36, 38) coupled with cylinder housing (22) interact, in turn and intermittently, with permanent magnet (30) and are electrically connected to power supply for their selective activation. Electromagnets (36, 38) comprise paramagnetic material and magnetically attract permanent magnet (30) on appropriate first section (MA1, MA2) of reciprocation, when not activated, and magnetically repulse permanent magnet (30) on appropriate second section of reciprocation (MI1, MR1, MI2, MR2), when activated by power supply. Motor (10) can comprise multiple second permanent magnets (64) coupled with crankshaft (24) set define circular travel, and multiple third electromagnets connected to power supply and arranged on crankcase (56) abreast and radially outward from circular travel of second permanent magnets (64) for intermittent and consecutive interaction therewith.
