SUBSTANCE: device for controlling at least one outlet valve (2), (3) of an internal combustion engine with valve distribution for automobiles is provided with a control element which drive is driven by a camshaft. Between a cam (4) of the camshaft and the exhaust valve (2), (3), a first unit (15) from the piston and the cylinder is provided. Hydraulically actuated unit (15) from the piston and the cylinder is designed so that the outlet valve is (2), (3) in the mode of braking by the engine with reverse thrust of the exhaust gases, can be kept in an unclosed intermediate position. There is a second unit (11) from the piston and the cylinder, which is made in the form of hydraulic element (11) of valve clearance compensation. Between the cam (4) and the outlet valve (2), (3) at least one means located in the valve mechanism is provided (28), which produces force directed opposite to servo action of hydraulic element (11) of the compensation of the valve clearance, however, it is lower in comparison with it. Method to control exhaust valve and a vehicle is disclosed.
EFFECT: enhanced reliability of the valve mechanism operation.
