FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to dentistry and can be applied for diagnostics of periodontitis severity level. The root lengths are measured on lower and upper jaws, namely, one homonymous tooth of the jaw: canine, premolar, first and second molars. Mild periodontitis is stated if root length of the examined teeth of the lower jaw are equal to or more (mm) than 15.7; 13.4; 15.7; 15.1, respectively and on the upper jaw of the root lengths are equal to or more than (mm) 15.2, 14.2 14.5; 14.2 respectively. Severe periodontitis is observed in case the root lengths of the examined teeth of the lower jaw are equal to or less than (mm) 15.3; 12.7; 15.5; 13.6, respectively and on the upper jaw the root lengths are equally or less than (mm) 15.1; 14.1; 13.9; 13.2 respectively.
EFFECT: method allows enhancing diagnostic possibilities in smoothed clinical presentation of periodontitis.
