FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: composition for making biologically stable coating contains sol based on a water-alcohol solution of tetraethoxysilane and epoxy compounds (silicate (49.75-49.99 wt %) and epoxy (49.75-49.99 wt %) components, respectively) with an inorganic acid additive and metal salts if necessary, as well as a modifying additive - detonation nanodiamonds with size of nanoparticles and their aggregates of 3-100 nm (0.02-0.5 wt %). Detonation nanodiamonds can be in the composition in form of an aqueous suspension, powder or graphitised diamond mixture.
EFFECT: preparation of a composition for making a coating based on epoxy-silicate sols and having considerable biological antimicrobial and anti-mold activity.
