FIELD: physics.

SUBSTANCE: system for monitoring rooms during flooding includes sensors connected in parallel to an electric circuit and placed in places of possible water leakage, a signal processing unit connected to electromagnetic shutoff valves of a water-distribution pipe. The electric circuit of moisture sensors additionally includes a resistor of given resistance R1 and is electrically connected to a control unit made in form of a signal processing unit, as well as to an alarm unit and the power supply of the sensors. The system is made with possibility of transmitting two signals - one signal going to the alarm unit, and the other to the electromagnetic shutoff valves of the water-distribution pipe if resistance value R2 falls by a value less than the control value Δ2. The moisture sensors are made in form of two "Ш"-shaped metallic elements fitted into each other. The signal processing unit has optical switches, and the power supply of the moisture sensors is made with possibility of varying polarity of electric current with give frequency. The signal processing unit is made with possibility of measuring resistance R2 of the electric circuit and transmitting a system integrity violation signal to the alarm unit if resistance value R2 increases by a value greater than the control value Δ1.
