FIELD: heating systems.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to electric household appliances, and namely to flow-through electric heaters, and can be used for quick heating of heat carrier. Proposed effect is reached owing to use of heating unit containing heat exchanger with heating elements, heat carrier supply and discharge connection pipes, heat insulation enclosing heat exchanger, which is made in the form of closed capacity with temperature sensor; at that, heating elements are located with a gap relative to each other and offset relative to vertical symmetry axis of closed capacity to different sides. In closed capacity there installed are at least two heating elements located with gaps relative to internal surfaces of walls of closed capacity; at that, dimensions of gaps are chosen in the following way: c≤a≤b, where c - gap between lower heating element and internal surface of lower wall of closed capacity, b - gap between upper heating element and internal surface of upper wall of closed capacity, a - gap between heating elements.

EFFECT: decreasing overall dimensions, increasing heat exchange efficiency, providing quick heating of heat carrier in heat exchanger.
