FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: flat glass panels are moved through a lehr and a tempering section. The treatment process is preceded by using a linear camera to read information showing glass loading. This information is used for controlling the treatment process. The information which shows loading is accompanied with automatic determination of the presence or absence of glass panel coating. Thickness of the glass panel is also measured. This information on presence of coating and thickness is used during tempering for automatic regulation of the tempering time and blast pressure. Such information is particularly useful for automatic control of convection heating in the heating device.
EFFECT: design of a universal and more efficient apparatus adapted to automation of the entire tempering process.
