FIELD: engines and pumps.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to power producing and automotive power plants. Proposed device comprises cylinder, cylinder head (1), piston, piston pin, con rod (8), crankshaft, camshaft, additional cylinder (2), control (6) and drive (7) levers. Additional cylinder (2) incorporates piston (3) with rod (4). Cylinder head (1) has bore to communicate combustion chamber with additional cylinder (2). Bore diametre is smaller than that of additional cylinder (2) and features tapered transition between diametres. Piston (3) has bottom representing a counter cone, which faces the combustion chamber inlet. Piston (3) shuts off combustion chamber outlet into additional cylinder (2). Opposite end of piston (3) accommodates rod (4) that rests on control (6) and drive (7) levers. The former rests on rotary cam that either allows or prevents displacement of control lever (6) together with rod (4) and piston (3). In the latter case, piston is locked in extreme position, closer to combustion chamber. Drive lever (7) is coupled with crankshaft (9) via con rod (8) or a system of levers.
EFFECT: producing extra volume in expansion and exhaust strokes.
