SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods and systems for providing subscribers of a cellular mobile communication network with optional services, and specifically to methods and systems which enable offering traveling subscribers with services for tracking their movement between coverage areas of a cellular mobile communication network and notifying third parties of such movements. This service, which enables monitoring and notification in automatic mode, frees subscribers, especially people with limited resources, from the need to call or send SMS notifying arrival on a new place.
EFFECT: method and system for implementation provides traveling cellular mobile communication network subscribers with a service for monitoring their movement between GSM and UMTS networks, or segments of such networks, and notifying selected subscribers or other authorised persons on arrival of the subscriber on a new place.
