FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: double-T rolled section is made out of steel and consists of flanges with parallel facets and wall. Rational distribution of steel along section of the beam is achieved due to the following: slenderness of its wall equal to ratio of wall height to its thickness does not exceed ultimate value of slenderness λst facilitating stability of the wall without intermediate stiffening ribs and corresponds to 70 for low carbon steel and 60 for alloyed steel; thickness, wall height, and its ultimate slenderness are determined by mathematic dependences, while area of section is distributed along section in proportion: 50 % of section wall, 25 % of each of flanges; ratio of flange width to its thickness does not exceed ultimate ratio facilitating local stability of a flange; also principal moment of inertia of section and principal moment of resistance are regulated.
EFFECT: reduced material consumption of double-T rolled section.
