SUBSTANCE: invention is related to doctor knife for roller of paper-making or cardboard-making machine and method of its production. Doctor knife for roller of paper-making or cardboard-making machine comprises two opposite surfaces, at the same time one surface ends with cutting blade. Knife consists of fibrous sheets, which are imposed one over another and are adhered to each other with the help of plastic binder. Knife also comprises at least one fibrous tissue, fibres of which are coated with solid particles with size of less than 30 microns. Fibrous tissue lies on surface, which closes cutting blade, or in its close proximity.
EFFECT: group of inventions provides for controlled wear of knife and constant sharpness of cutting blade without application of expensive carbon fibre.
