FIELD: images forming devices.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a cleaning scrap knife (scraper), an electrophotographic image forming apparatus using the cleaning scrap knife, and a process cartridge detachably mounted to the image forming apparatus. Claimed group of inventions includes a process cartridge detachably mounted to the image forming apparatus, a cleaning scrap knife and an image forming apparatus. Wherein the cleaning scrap knife comprises: an edge layer comprising an edge linear portion for contacting the surface of the object to be cleaned, performing movement on the surface to remove the adhering material from the surface of the object to be cleaned, and a backing layer formed by resilient materials with degrees of hardness different from the degrees of hardness of the edge layer, wherein the edge layer is impregnated with resin or is made of a resilient material with a greater degree of hardness than that of the backing layer, and the coefficient of residual elongation of the entire scrap knife including the edge layer and the backing layer is 3.0 % or less, the edge layer includes a first edge layer comprising an edge linear portion, and a second edge layer having a surface facing the surface of the object to be cleaned, the backing layer has an nonfacing surface opposite to the facing surface, wherein the degree of hardness of the resilient materials of the first edge layer, the second edge layer and the backing layer differ from each other, and wherein the film thickness of each of the first edge layer and the second edge layer is gradually thickened towards the edge linear portion.

EFFECT: technical result is providing a cleaning scrap knife, an image forming device and a process cartridge, which have a structure including a scrap knife element with a multilayer structure formed by layers, and can increase their own cleaning efficiency along with preventing the permanent deformation of the scrap knife element over time.
