FIELD: measurement equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention is related to the field of instrument making, in particular to devices for measurement of liquid mediums level. Device comprises the following components: single-mode wideband source of optical radiation, fibre light guide, absorber of optical radiation, spectrometre with output digital signal, device for processing of digital signals. Outlet of single-mode wideband source of optical radiation is connected to fibre light guide, which is arranged as single-mode in the form of concentrically arranged bar light guide and tubular wave guide. Tubular wave guide is coated with shell and protective layer. Outlet end of fibre light guide is connected to absorber of optical radiation, which absorbs optical radiation from bar wave guide and passing light flux from tubular wave guide of fibre light guide to inlet of spectrometre. Outlet of spectrometre is connected to inlet of digital signals processing device. Level of liquid medium is identified by number and location of spectral strips of optical radiation in specified range of wave lengths, which correspond to control points of level measurement, at the outlet of tubular wave guide of fibre light guide.
EFFECT: increased sensitivity and accuracy of measurements of fibre optic metre of liquid medium level.
