FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: offered composition contains: (a) peroxide complex containing hydrogen peroxide and N-vinyl-heterocyclic polymer (e.g., poly-N-vinylpolylactam or poly-N-vinylpolyimid); (b) a wightening agent (e.g., hydrogen peroxide); and (c) an orally acceptable carrier containing silicone polymer, chosen from the group consisting of silicone adhesives, silicone elastomers, silicone liquids, silicone resins, silicone rubbers and their mixtures. The method for making the oral care composition involves the stage as follows: (a) mixing the wightening agent, silicone adhesive and a liquid carrier to a homogeneous mixture; (b) adding peroxide complex to said homogeneous mixture where said complex contains hydrogen peroxide and N-vinyl-heterocyclic polymer; and (c) mixing under suction.
EFFECT: oral care composition provides higher accessible concentration of the wigthening agent, teeth adhesion in presence of saliva without using a dental tray, and eventual release of the wightening agent.
