SUBSTANCE: invention concerns tooth wightening products. There is offered a single-phase tooth wightening composition that contains: (i) a wightening agent containing a bound peroxide containing a peroxide compound and polymer, (ii) a silica abrasive and (iii) an oral suiable carrier containing ethylene oxide and propylene oxide copolymer with water content less than 10%. Said bound peroxide can contain a peroxide compound and cross-linked polymer. The method for tooth surface wightening is ensured by the contact of a tooth surface to the single-phase wightening composition.
EFFECT: said composition makes it possible to use the silica abrasive with peroxide in the single-phase composition without substantial reduction of wightening efficiency owing to peroxide oxidation.
