FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: thread rolling tool consists of two or three similar conic rollers with thread and cosine angle φp. Axles of conic rollers are installed at angle φ+φp to rotation axis of a billet in lengthwise section. The part of the roller with the biggest diametre roller-burnishes the biggest diametre of billet thread, while the part of roller with the smallest diametre roller-burnishes the smallest diametre of billet thread. Also k angle of cone of rollers φp is determined with formula:
where kp - is number of starts of roller threads, kd - is number of starts on the billet, φ is angle of cone of roller-burnished thread, degr.
EFFECT: elimination of roller turn slipping against billet and increased resistance of thread roller-burnishing tool.
