FIELD: power industry.
SUBSTANCE: screen vacuum heat insulation consists of mats, each of which includes two packs. Pack consists of alternating layers of screen material and packing material. Two layers of screen material shaped on metal mesh are installed as the first and the last layers of each mat. Gaps in joints of packs are overlapped with additional layers of screen material. Manufacturing method of screen vacuum heat insulation involves manufacture of mats in the form of alternating layers of screen and packing material. Packs of screen vacuum heat insulation are manufactured as per templates and installed on simulator of heat-insulated surface of cryogenic tank. Layers in packs are attached to each other with pins. Mats are assembled of packs. Not less than three upper layers of each mat are covered with fabric along the outline. Joints of packs in mats are offset relative to each other. Mats are laid relative to each other so that they overlap the packs and are attached to each other.
EFFECT: simplifying the manufacturing process and shortening the length of overlaps of screen vacuum heat insulation.
