FIELD: space engineering.
SUBSTANCE: proposed shield vacuum insulation has outer and inner layers with shields located in between them; shields have one-sided metallized surface; layers are isolated by separators made from material of low thermal conductivity. Shields are oriented to inner facing layer by their metallized surface; their metallized surface is made at ratio of solar radiation absorption factor to degree of blackness not exceeding 0.55.
EFFECT: increased thermal resistance.
