FIELD: engines and pumps.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to fans and can be used in aircraft and rocket thermal control systems. Proposed axial fan comprises housing accommodating a barrel with meridional cut in its cylindrical wall and n (n=3,4 etc) radial ledges with their outer surface staying in contact with housing inner surface. It comprises also motor with impeller fitted on motor shaft arranged inside aforesaid barrel and nose cone screwed in place inside the barrel on the side opposite to that of impeller. Note here that tapered bevels are made on barrel cylindrical wall inner surface, motor is secured on to the flange of bush arranged barrel bush and helical thread is made on opposite side of said bush to interact with helical thread of aforesaid nose cone. Note also that nose cone sections and flange sides facing said sections are spherical, while aforesaid meridional cut is made over all length of the barrel cylindrical wall, and outer surface of radial ledges and housing inner surface are made cylindrical.
EFFECT: ease of manufacture, expanded performances.
