FIELD: test engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to design of passive sampler. The passive sampler consists of a container with open upper and lower ends and of an accumulating unit installed in the container; the accumulating unit is made in form of a sorption element limited with polymer diaphragms from above and beneath. The sampler additionally contains protective nets arranged on ends of the case and seals placed between the nets and diaphragms. Polymer disks with diametre of pores 0.5-2 mm and porosity 30-50 % are used as seals; polymer membranes with diametres of pores not more 10 kDa are used as diaphragms. Also solution of water-dissolved polymer poly-ethylene-iminodi-ethylene-triamine-pentaactate withdimension of particles not less, than 50 kDa is used as sorption element.
EFFECT: creating simple, reliable and universal facility for concentrating toxic radio nuclides directly in water ecosystem or in sewage water, which significantly simplifies further analysis of samples for their contents.
